Narrogin to Kambalda

Yesterday we drove, and we drove and we drove some more. Basically lots and lots of driving!

Monday morning we woke up to our first incredible view, boiled our first billy and packed up Bob for the first time. We took off at about 8am and headed straight for Hyden.

Arrived at Hyden at about 11am just as town was really starting to liven up! Followed the signposts for Wave Rock "The highlight of Hyden"!

After walking around for an hour or so we jumped back in Bob and headed off to find our first leg of corrugations. Luckily nothing fell apart, apart from our minds as the MP3 player wasn't working, 720am was getting a little agitating and we had really had enough of the only three albums I have downloaded on my phone.

Crawled into Kambalda at 6ish and into a nice warm electric blanket heated bed at Marilyns a few hours after that!

Today was pretty cruisy. Walked up to Red Rock Look out, chilled out at Marilyns with the cats and now are waiting for Helen and Scott (AKA Mum and Dad) to arrive in the next hour or so!

Slowing getting into it but really enjoyed having not much to do all day!

On the road to Hyden.

No more stops for this or stops for that! Brett has already lost the fuel cap for the spare fuel tank! $50 down already and we hadn't even left perth! So we had a quick stop for some chain and shackles so it can't happen again.

We have now left, we are on the road heading to hyden tomorrow to check out the infamous wave rock I have been told once visited I will never visit it again. I have never been there so I'm going and Bretts back for his second time!


Camped overnight just outside of williams, beautiful lookout over the sunset as we drove in.

Bazza the bush kangeroo...our fury friend and mascot taking most of the bugz . Hes already lost a booty as you can see in the photo. We were only about 10k's from busselton. It will be interesting to see how long he lasts.

Finally we have got it all together and have left perth. Heading home to dunsborough first to sort out last minute website details then we hit the road heading for Kalgoorlie via Hyden (wave rock) on Sunday.

The day is getting closer. A few delays have held us up a little bit longer than we would have liked but.....as I keep saying that's life and what an incredible life we have ahead of us!!!!!!! Getting very very excited.......
